Legacy
We've been around!
Sacramento's CRC Choral Singers have been delighting audiences since the early 1970s. In 2020-21, we'll celebrate 50 years of great singing! Voices from all communities are welcome and have lifted their voices in the ultimate in artistic expression: the singing voice!
It's time for you to join in that tradition and to make new ones.
The Choirs
"I believe in singing. I believe in singing together."
- Brian Eno
Timeless, Soaring Vocals
Chamber Singers is the advanced vocal ensemble of CRC. Here we explore music throughout the ages, including contemporary works in the Classical and Popular tradition. Breakout groups, such as RiverSong allow even more specialized singing such as madrigals, barbershop, or jazz. Seriously fun!
Choral Fun for Everyone!
Under the direction of Stafford Hebert, College Chorus is a non-auditioned ensemble suited for beginning choral singers, but is really open to everyone. Repertoire is chosen that reflects the specific abilities of the group. Everyone is welcome in College Chorus!
Energetic, Soulful Singing
Lift your voices in song in some of American's most powerful music. From spirituals to hits of today, Gospel Choir will have you swaying, clapping, and learning more about yourself than you knew before!

Learn About Singing in a Group Setting
CRC offers four courses in group vocal study. Students experience training in the correct use of the singing voice, vocal techniques, and repertoire. This courses are strongly recommended for vocal majors, but open to all students desiring to begin the study of voice.
Upper levels of the course provide opportunity for vocal exercise and intellectual analysis in the development of efficient singing technique and skill in performing vocal literature. In these levels, performance in class and in recital is essential. The course is strongly recommended for vocal majors. Students may wish to challenge the prerequisite on the basis of equivalent experience.
